MUSHROOMS CHESS CLUB

We are sorry to learn of the death of Roger Lancaster, who played for Mushrooms in our early days (the early ’60s) until the 1981-2 season, after which he moved to Watford.

Space

Long-time member and our current Chair is awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the ECF, for his work on setting up 20 chess clubs in 20 prisons since 2017, using chess to support rehabilitation.
